President

Simone Rusci was appointed President of the Maremma Park with the Decree of the President of the Tuscany Regional Council n.80 of 13 May 2022, after a five-year experience as Councilor under the presidency of Lucia Venturi.

Councilors

Laura Cutini was appointed in 2022 as a member of the Maremma Park Council upon designation by the Province of Grosseto.

He held the same position at the organization from 1987 to 1990.

Graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of Siena, she has worked as a biologist since 1979, as owner of an environmental and food analysis studio.

He obtained the qualification in Environmental Biology at the University of Florence and the master’s degree in “Sustainability Manager for the Ecological Transition” at the University of Naples Parthenope. He has carried out numerous environmental analysis assignments for the public administration.

He is currently a member of the General Steering Committee of the E.N.P.A.B. (National Agency for the Welfare and Assistance of Biologists).

Ha ricoperto incarichi politici e istituzionali, tra i quali quello di Presidente della Commissione Pari Opportunità del Comune di Grosseto dal 2001 al 2003 e quello di Consigliere Provinciale dal 2004 al 2014 (Capogruppo di Minoranza). 

Leandre Cristofer Ricca was appointed in 2022 as a member of the Maremma Park Council upon designation of the Agricultural Category Associations.

Graduated in Agriculture from the University of Pisa, he is the provincial manager of CAA Coldiretti Grosseto and runs, together with his children, an agricultural company in the municipality of Civitella Paganico.

Chiara Vazzano was appointed in 2022 as a member of the Maremma Park Council upon designation by the Regional Council of Tuscany.

Graduated in Clinical Psychology from La Sapienza University of Rome, she has worked in public bodies and in the publishing sector.

He holds political positions at local level as a member of the Lega Salvini Premier party.

Francesco Pezzo was appointed in 2022 as a member of the Maremma Park Council upon designation by the Environmental Associations. He held the same position from 2016 to 2021.

Born in Siena in 1968, he graduated with honors in Biological Sciences in 1993. Thanks to a European “Marie Curie” scholarship, he obtained a PhD in Zoology from the University of Oxford (UK) in 2003. He is currently a researcher at the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) in Ozzano Emilia and a professor at the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences of the University of Bologna. He deals with animal ecology and wildlife conservation. In the past he has worked extensively in international contexts: with ENEA as part of the National Antarctic Research Program, participating in five scientific expeditions, with the CNR (EvK2) in Nepal, as well as as a freelancer in Mozambique. He has always been active at the local level, carrying out research and monitoring on the fauna of Tuscany. Collaborator of the Natural History Museum of Grosseto, from 2009 to 2013 he lived in the “Casa dei Pinottolai” inside the Maremma Park, carrying out research on the conservation of the Park’s birds. Domenico Donati was appointed in 2022 as a member of the Maremma Park Council upon designation by the Municipality of Grosseto. He held the same position from 2016 to 2021.

A sales agent, he worked in the furniture sector and then moved into the real estate sector. He manages the family farm in the town of Alberese.

Fabrizio Goracci was appointed in 2022 as a member of the Maremma Park Council upon designation by the Municipality of Magliano in Toscana. He held the same position from 1996 to 1999 and from 2016 to 2021.

Agricultural and agritourism entrepreneur, he manages the family business Podere Brancalino. He also owns a forestry business specializing in forest cutting and maintenance.

He is a diver with a deep diving specialization license issued by Scuba Schools International.

Letizia Barsellini was appointed in 2022 as a member of the Maremma Park Council upon designation by the Tuscany Region.

He held the same position at the organization from 2013 to 2016 representing the Municipality of Orbetello.

She obtained a specialist degree in Marine Biology from the University of Pisa in 2009. Professional biologist with many years of experience in aquaculture, combined with solid training in the biological and fisheries fields. He obtained a 1st level University Master’s Degree in Aquaculture and Ichthyopathology from the University of Bologna in 2015.
