Da qui, con un minimo di fantasia, \\u00e8 facile immaginarsi nel Medioevo, come viandanti in viaggio dalla stazione di posta lungo l\\u2019Aurelia al monastero di San Rabano, da dove si scendeva a Cala di Forno per imbarcarsi alla volta di Civitavecchia o di Livorno.<\\\/p>\\r\\n<p>Dopo una prima parte di salita pi\\u00f9 decisa, il percorso si fa pi\\u00f9 dolce. Pi\\u00f9 si sale di quota, pi\\u00f9 l\\u2019altezza degli alberi si abbassa, e ai lati dello stradello compaiono gli arbusti della macchia: erica, ginepro, cisto, qualche ginestra e corbezzolo. Ogni tanto il bosco di apre e lascia intravedere grandi panorami verso l\\u2019interno.<\\\/p>\\r\\n<p>Un\\u2019ultima salita, e si arriva su una larga sella fra le colline dove si trovano le rovine del monastero, della sua chiesa e della torre dell\\u2019Uccellina, circondate da una corona di grandissimi lecci.<\\\/p>\\r\\n<p>Per la sorpresa finale dell\\u2019escursione bisogna per\\u00f2 continuare lungo un breve sentiero pianeggiante che porta a due altane, una che guarda a nord e una che guarda a sud, dalle quali si possono godere panorami spettacolari su tutta la costa di questa parte di Toscana.<\\\/p>\",\"en\":\"<p><\\\/p><p><span style=\\\"font-family: inherit;\\\">We start from Alberese crossing a large olive grove in the agricultural area of \\u200b\\u200bthe Park between the plain and the woods. start from Alberese crossing a large olive grove in the agricultural area of \u200b\u200bthe Park between the plain and the woods. After a gate, the small road continues between two \"walls\" of dense and disorderly vegetation, in an area that was agricultural in the past and is now being renaturalised. Soon you arrive at an ancient stone wall, now partly ruined, beyond which there is a much higher green wall: these are the oaks that here, on the cooler and more humid northern slope, find the best growing conditions. The small road begins to climb along the wall, and shortly after the town of Piscina del Prete enters the ancient hunting reserve.<\/span><br><\/p>\r\n<p>This is a dense, dark forest, perhaps the most beautiful forest in the Park. From here, with a minimum of imagination, it is easy to imagine oneself in the Middle Ages, as wayfarers traveling from the post station along the Aurelia to the monastery of San Rabano, from where one descended to Cala di Forno to embark for Civitavecchia or Livorno .<\/p>\r\n<p>After an initial part of a more decisive climb, the route becomes gentler. The higher you go in altitude, the lower the height of the trees becomes, and on the sides of the road the scrub shrubs appear: heather, juniper, cistus, some broom and strawberry tree.
